Maui Hawaiian BBQ is tucked in between stores in the shopping center close to the Target and Sally's Beauty. Its parking lot is super easy to access. Inside, there's 5 tables with seating of four per table so it would be tough to try to dine in with a bigger party. The restaurant's decoration is Hawaiian themed has a very laid back vibe. Walking in, I was able to order right away! The person at the front was helpful in accommodating my order, which was a double cheeseburger with fries (yes I know, why not Hawaiian BBQ?!). Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and value for what I got for the double cheeseburger. The veggies tasted fresh and the burger was cooked nicely. What really set this place apart was the service by the young man at the front who brought over my order to my table himself and was courteous enough to ask if I needed anything else as well. He was super helpful and that extra touch was much appreciated! Definitely enjoyed my meal here, and would definitely come back again!

Hawaiian BBQ is one of my favorite foods of all time, although depending on where it's made the meat could often be over seasoned and dry. I definitely have to give the Westminster location a review because it sets itself apart from the other locations! The interior of the restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating if you decide to dine in. There was only one young man working the register and one cook in the back. The service was great as the cashier was very patient and asked us how we were doing. Since we came in the evening the restaurant was relatively empty. Our food came out in a matter of minutes though When opening the plate I was happy to see that the meat rice and salad were plated nicely! My biggest issue with Hawaiian BBQ is that sometimes the meat comes out hard, burnt, or even overcooked but I thought that this meat was cooked to perfection. The galbi and teriyaki chicken was cooked to perfection. So tender and Juicy. Overall, this location does not fail to disappoint me in terms of service, and quality! I'll be back again soon!

It's good. My husband seems to avoid this place. He's from Hawaii, and I lived there. I don't know he won't go here. Anyway, they have great food. It might not be 100% authentic, but the food is tasty. They give good sized portions and have great customer service. I've been to a few Maui BBQ in SoCal and I liked them all.

Stopped here for a quick lunch and loved it! The owner was so nice and welcoming, making sure to offer everyone water even though we were doing takeout. The food was delicious as well, and reasonably priced. We got a half katsu, half kalbi plate and some spam musubi, and everything was great. We noticed he was going above and beyond for all the customers, offering water, hawaiian sun and sample spam musubi. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and would definitely come back.

Bf and I came in this afternoon for a little snack so we ordered the mini chicken katsu meal! The girl at the register helping us was nice- atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Decent amount of food for $10-12. The presentation looked really pretty as well! My only issue is I feel there's less flavor in the chicken and mac salad- you kind of have to use a lot of the sauce on the side to get everything to hit (but what do i know i'm not a saucy gal) Overall, it's a good local spot if you're craving hawaiian bbq! I didn't know they remodeled and added boba to their menu either- So i definitely wanna try a few of those next time

My daughter and I have been here several times, sometimes when going to the Spectrum store. Hawaiian BbQ, is located on Beach Blvd, the Target center, near the Spectrum Store. Their ambiance is very casual and clean with a tables to accommodate a lunch crowd. They are always friendly and have good customer service when we pick-up our order. We have ordered the *Katsu Chicken combo, serced on top of shredded cabbage, rice and a scoop of macaroni salad *Beef and Short served with rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. *Spam Musubi - sometimes is the heavy on the rice. * Chicken Katsu Musubi. Is worth mentioning that their servings are on the smaller size compared to other Hawaiian BBQ locations, for us is worth come here because this location nearest to us. When you are craving the flavors Hawaiian BBQ style, comfort food without visiting the Islands, give them a try you will like them. The parking can get busy but is huge parking lot just park a little further if is busy by their front door.

I discovered that Maui Hawaiian BBQ serves chicken Katsu musubi, so I had to come run over here to try it! I placed an order over the phone for: bbq chicken Saimin, Katsu chicken musubi and a combo bbq plate and the guy over the phone was super friendly and gave me the estimated total and the estimated time when the food would be done. When we showed up 15 minutes later to pick up our food, all the food was already packaged and ready with extra hot sauce, teriyaki sauce and katsu sauce- amazing service! I bought a couple of Hawaiian sun drinks to have with our dinner and that made it perfection. The owner of the restaurant rang me up and he was super friendly! I really enjoyed the chicken katsu because the chicken cutlet was thin and the katsu itself wasn't greasy at all. I loved the savory saimin soup with bok choy, carrots and broccoli - I really felt like I was getting a well balanced, delicious meal with the bbq chicken saimin bowl. The macaroni salad was just the right amount of cold and creamy and the bbq ribs had just the right amount of sauce. The ambiance is very casual - there's enough chairs for a couple of families and couples. Overall, I loved the food and really enjoyed my dining experience at Maui- I can't wait to come back for my next chicken katsu craving. Mmmmm mmmm good :)
